Date: Wednesday, 07 May 2025
Time: 13:30–15:30
Venue: FZA Building, Rooms 007–008

As part of the conference on "Belonging and the Law as Relational Praxis" (05–07 May 2025), the Chair of African Legal Studies offers a special course within the International Legal Studies (ILS) program. The course invites students to critically explore the law’s role in constructing identity, inclusion, and belonging across contexts.

The course will be comprised of a Seminar Workshop (in-person), where students engage with key texts and participate in a structured discussion (mandatory readings provided in advance) and the writing of an Opinion Paper (take-home) of 1,500–2,000 words on a timely issue in the realms of law and belonging. Outstanding papers will be published on africanlegalstudies.blog.

ECTS: 2 credit points upon full participation and submission.
