Overview


Reminder: Special Protection of Human Rights in Comparative Contexts on Monday, 10 June 2024

On 10 June 2024, the Chair of African Legal Studies will host Dr. Robert Eno and Justice Dennis Dominic Adjei, the Registrar and Judge of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights respectively. The African Court is a continental court established by African States to ensure protection of human and peoples’ rights in Africa.

Our guests will present at the Human Rights in Africa seminar on the topic: Special protection of human and peoples’ rights in Africa: Case of children, women’s rights and environment. Thereafter, the guests shall, jointly with other faculty members and experts, present in a moderated roundtable session on the topic: Role of comparative human rights law and jurisprudence in regional human rights systems and regimes.

Both events will take place at K3 in RWI, at the University of Bayreuth main campus. A small overview of the events are on the poster.
